Environment and Sustainability

Environment: Temple Tax Chambers is committed to reducing its impact on the environment.

Recycling: We have recycling facilities and promote the recycling of as much waste as possible.  Confidential waste is shredded and recycled.  Redundant IT equipment is disposed of responsibly. Batteries are collected in a recycling box, and battery packs from laptops are recycled.

Resources: The water provided in our conference rooms is filtered tap water rather than bottled mineral water.

We encourage Members and staff to reduce their paper consumption by not printing where possible and printing double sided documents where practicable.

We work hard to reduce our energy consumption.  All Chambers’ printers and photocopiers are programmed to go into power-save mode after five minutes of inactivity.

Transport: The use of public transport, cycling, and walking is encouraged as much as possible.  Middle Temple have provided bike racks for communal use.  There are several bicycle docking stations near by.

Bar Sustainability Network: The Bar Council has established a Bar Sustainability Network to support Chambers, Inns and legal support               organisations to act on their climate impacts, and we are delighted to be a Member.

Chambers is consistently recognised as a Leading Tax Set in the Chambers and Partners and Legal 500 Directories
